Y5&6 NSPCC Workshop
The children learnt the importance of speaking out in order to stay safe. They know they could speak to a trusted adult or call Childline on 0800 1111.
Y6 Trip to the Museum of Science and Industry
Year 6 enjoyed a really busy day at the Museum of Science and Industry. They explored the interactive area and tried to solve some rather tricky puzzles, which also had the teachers scratching their heads! There was also a very interesting electricity workshop where the children learnt how a dynamo works, what is needed for a circuit to function properly and looked at some of the first electrical devices including a radio hat, a hairdryer and a muscle-building belt. Despite their best efforts, however, Mr Miles remained un-frazzled!

World Book Day
Year 6 had a very busy day for World Book Day. Lots of the children came in as their favourite book characters and some of the costumes were absolutely fantastic. They also recorded stories in the recording studio which everyone really enjoyed.
The Year 5 and 6 teaching team also decided to get into the spirit of the day with some very understated costumes…
Fire Brigade Visit
Year 6 enjoyed a visit from the Fire Brigade. They taught us important lessons about safety on Bonfire Night, especially how to stay safe while enjoying fireworks. We also learnt about some of the clothing and equipment used by the Fire Brigade.
