Sacred Heart is proud to be a uniformed school, so all children are required to wear school uniform and the co-operation of all parents is sought in maintaining this. It is of great help if all items of clothing are clearly marked with your child’s name.

Haircuts must be appropriate for school and hair should not be dyed. Parents will be asked to correct a child’s inappropriate hairstyle if necessary. Children should not have colours dyed or woven into the hair and all hairstyles should be sensible. 

We do not permit the wearing of earrings and all forms of jewellery in school as these are dangerous to the wearer and other pupils, especially during games and play times.

You can purchase Sacred Heart school uniform from Tesco and the local Gorton Market. The prices are extremely competitive and you will be able to have your items delivered to your home address.  As well as uniform with the school logo, you will also be able to order any other items of school uniform such as trousers, skirts, pinafores and PE kit.

 

NURSERY AND RECEPTION

The school uniform requirements for children in Nursery and Reception are as follows

Black or Navy Pull Up Jogging Pants, Leggings or Shorts.

White or Pale Blue Polo Shirt

Blue Sweatshirt (with school logo)

Plain Black Trainers (no coloured patterning) or Shoes without Laces

This ensures that the children are practically dressed and active ready at all times. 

Clothing with an elasticated waist is critical as zips, buttons and fasteners can hinder the children when in a rush to use the toilet. 

 

 

The school uniform requirements for children in Year 1 to Year 6 are as follows:-

GIRLS  White or Pale Blue Polo Shirt Blue Sweatshirt/Cardigan (with school logo) Navy Blue, Black or Grey  Pinafore/Trousers/Skirt Navy Blue or White Socks Summer Blue Checked Dress Plain Black Trainers (no coloured patterning) or Shoes

BOYS  White or Pale Blue Polo Shirt Blue Sweatshirt (with school logo) Navy Blue, Black or Grey Trousers or Shorts Plain Black Trainers (no coloured patterning) or Shoes

Bright coloured pullovers, track-suit trousers or sports football tops are not acceptable uniform at Sacred Heart.

 

The  P.E. Kit to be worn by all children is as follows:

A plain white t-shirt

Plain black shorts in summer and plain black jogging bottoms or leggings in winter

Plain black trainers

Long hair must be tied up
