Safeguarding
At Sacred Heart School, we aim to create and maintain a safe learning environment where all children and adults feel safe, secure, valued and know they will be listened to and taken seriously. We ensure that all adults in our school, including regular staff, supply staff, volunteers and visitors, are working together to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people and to identify and address any safeguarding concerns and to ensure consistent good practice.
The Designated Safeguarding Lead at Sacred Heart is Mrs Botham (Headteacher) and the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads are Mr Wilson (Deputy Headteacher), Miss Garland (SENDCO) and Miss Dolan (Admin Officer). The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (DDSLs) have a specific responsibility for championing the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
