Welcome to Reception

Hi! My name is Miss Briggs and I am EYFS Leader as well as being Reception 2’s Class Teacher.

In the classroom, you will often find me singing, dancing or being silly. I love making learning fun and taking learning outside of the classroom, especially when it’s sunny! I’m also the school Computing Leader and I love technology. At Sacred Heart, we try to incorporate technology into our learning whenever we can.

An interesting fact about me is that I used to be a pupil at Sacred Heart – the amazing teachers were what inspired me to be a teacher too.

I can’t wait to create more special memories at Sacred Heart this year ♡

 

 

Hello, I am Mrs Bancroft and I have been teaching at Sacred Heart for many, many years! I expect I have taught your big brothers or sisters too! I love being part of our Sacred Heart community, it’s really such a special place.
This year, I will be teaching Reception 1 with Mrs Enright. I will also mentoring our recently qualified teachers – I love both roles so much. When I am not at work, I love to go to the beach with my family and search for sunshine, fish and chips and ice-cream!
Sacred Heart is a wonderful school and I am so proud to work here.

Hello, I am Mrs Enright. I have been teaching at Sacred Heart for a long time too! This year, I have the privilege of sharing Reception 2 with Mrs Bancroft. I am also the Music Leader and I am the main point of contact for Phonics in EYFS (Nursery and Reception).

 

I am Mrs Garrett, and I have been teaching at Sacred Heart since 2019, when my family moved up to Manchester. At school I used to love writing, but I always thought I was bad at maths. Luckily, I had a very kind teacher who taught me to be brave and have a go during my lessons, and now I love maths! This is the best thing about school: being free to make mistakes, knowing someone is there to help you improve. In my spare time, I love to walk and cycle. I also spend a lot of time in the garden enjoying the sunshine and watching the birds. Like many of our children at Sacred Heart, English is my second language. Did you know that I was born in Brazil? I speak Portuguese and a bit of Spanish. How about you?
